Our Story

We are an Australian family owned and operated business that produces exceptionally high quality cherries for local and export markets through sustainable crop management practices and modern post-harvest cooling and food safety accredited packing facilities.

We are located in the Young Hilltops region (375km South West of Sydney) on the NSW South West Slopes of the Great Dividing Range. Young ‘The Cherry Capital of Australia’ is recognised throughout the cherry industry as being one of the finest fruit growing regions in Australia.

The Hall family have been growing cherries for four generations. Jaspar and Win Hall established the first cherry orchard in the 1960’s. In this time the business name has evolved from Jaspar S Hall & Sons to Hallmark Orchards and to Hallmark Cherries as we are known today.

The meaning of hallmark originates from a mark stamped on articles of gold, silver or platinum certifying their standard of purity. The meaning of hallmark along with the family name Hall was a name that would hold strong and true today. The Hallmark name is synonymous for the premium quality cherries we produce.

Trevor Hall (CEO) along with his daughter Lucinda (CFO) are the key drivers behind this family business. They are the “Cherry Tree” or the backbone to the business.

Trevor has a genuine lifetime passion for cherries with a background of horticultural knowledge, sustainable crop management practices and integrated pest management systems. Trevor manages the Orchard/s and oversees all areas of the business.

Lucinda has a background of accounting and business management expertise and knowledge. Lucinda manages the office, the team and overall management of the business. Lucinda also manages the employment of harvest staff from application through to the staff being integrated into the valued team.
